Tahmi is a passionate social rights activist who has championed women’s rights and social justice for decades. From her activism against the Islamic regime in Iran to advocating for refugees and women's rights in Canada, Tahmi has dedicated her life to fighting injustice.
Her work includes contributions to projects for Battered Women Support Services (BWSS), organizing Iranian refugees, and leading campaigns such as Stop Deportation and Women, Life, and Freedom. Tahmi continues to focus on abolishing the death penalty and freeing political prisoners as part of her work with Free Them Now and the International Campaign to Stop Stoning and Executions in Iran.
